Current Expressions in Ceramics From Art to Industry
Queens Library Gallery, Queens, New York
October 22–December 31, 1997
This exhibition featured the interaction of ceramic art with industry. On display were ceramic tennis racket, watch, knives, bowling ball, catalytic converter, and even the tiles NASA used to shield the space craft from the intensity of the earth’s atmosphere on reentry. Additionally, works of contemporary art together with demonstrations of wheel throwing were given. I both curated and wrote the catalog essay for the exhibition.    ~ Judith S. Schwartz, Ph.D.
